| I have been an animal lover my whole life and have always said that if I could make a living by raising animals I’d be the happiest person alive. As soon as I met and got my hands on my first alpacas I knew I had finally found THAT animal. We now own a small farm of 4 acres, with many beautiful alpacas and cria due every spring and fall. Alpacas are amazing animals. They are very clean, quiet, and gentle souls. They only need minimal care, but I find myself spending a lot of time just sitting out in the pasture with them. You would not believe what good stress relievers they can be! Because we are small, we’re able to give our alpacas personalized attention. Alpacas are great !!! They are an investment animal with nice tax benefits. Their beautiful soft fiber can be used in so many ways. You get involved with some wonderful Alpaca people, and of course the enjoyment of the animals themselves. Plus you can raise them on a small piece of land.
