February 24, 2008 - Progress is good. Roof ready for paper and
shingles and the sides are starting to go on. Adam and I put all of the
wood and materials under the roof so they stay out of the weather.
March 9, 2008 - The animals are really starting to like the new barn.
They just stare at it all day long !!!!!!
Maybe they are just thinking about being inside from the rainy / wet
weather here in Bowling Green. Who knows ................
Anyway, progress is being made. The soffits are all covered now and
the walls are just about complete. It won't be long now.
March 21, 2008 - The roof is complete, but now the shingles need to
get finished. "Nutz" is waiting for the roof so he can climb up and get
away from the cat.
April 4, 2008 - The shingles are almost finished now.
The windows make it look nice and will give some airflow to the animals during hot weather. Almost finished...
April 7, 2008 - The weather finally gave us a
break and we decided to get the primer on.
5 gallons of oil-based primer later, we have this
big white barn now.
Roof is almost done.........keep going guys.
Anyone have some mineral spirits ? We look
like speckled bird eggs.
May 6, 2008 - Wahoo !!!!! The barn is done.
Just in time for the alpaca shearing fun next
Thursday. Can't wait for that. We will actually
have a place to keep the animals inside and
keep them clean and dry before the shearing.
The Penta folks did a great job on this. Now
we have some painting to do and some stone
for the inside floor.
The girls just can't wait to get inside.
See, look close. They are giddie with
excitement.
May 27, 2008 - Wahoo !!!!! Painting is done. Finally !!!
