We thought it would be kind of fun to share some of the things
happening to our farm.  Hope you enjoy this.

Lassiter went to the Alpacafest Show in Columbus
this weekend.  We only took the one animal as there
are lots of other things keeping us busy these days.

Lassiter took a fifth place out of 11 animals which is
pretty good for the light fawn classes.

No picture is available of the show as the
photographer stayed home to take care of alpacas.

The last cria of the year was born today.  Farrah
gave birth to a little girl at 12:15 pm today.  We have
named the baby Excyters Peruvian Elena.

She is a taupe - brown color and was a wooping 20
lbs when she was born.  Excyter is now 2 boys and 2
girls for his short breeding life.  Not bad.

Check out these pictures of
Elena.

Lincoln is born on Circle E Ranch.  He is our first cria
born to an animal that was born on our farm.  Now
we really have our breeding program going strong.

Lincoln is 1/2 accoyo and based on the fiber he was
born with, he should have plenty of staple length.
We look forward to seeing him grow.

Pics here for
Lincoln.

We went to the Michigan International Alpaca
Festival this weekend.  Also called MIAF.  We had a
really wonderful time and it was great to have some
of the family come to support our alpacas and our
farm.

Check out the
MIAF pictures.

If you ever take an alpaca into a small urban
community, be prepared for some funny looks.

That is what happened to us today.  We took
Mystique and Alita to an event at Yarn Haven in
Perrysburg Ohio.   Yarn Haven is the store that we
sell our yarn through.  It is a wonderful little yarn
shop with lots of friendly advice and comfy chairs to
sit and do needle working of many kinds.

Check out the pictures from
Yarn Haven.

Today we did another fun event to promote the farm.
We spent the morning at the TSC Store her in
Bowling Green.   We took 2 of the girls and 2 of the
boys over to the store.

My mom went along to show her skill at spinning and
we took some felt projects as well as yarn to sell.
We met tons of people who had never seen these
alpacas and I think everyone had a great time.

Today was the Alpaca show at the Fulton County
Fair in Wauseon Ohio.   This is always a fun event
and the Circle E Ranch is a proud sponsor.

Megan went with us to show animals along with her
friend Michelle from school.   My mom was their also
to help show animals.  Check out the page with our
pictures from the show.

We are pleased to announce that Paradise Alpacas
in Hempstead Texas has purchased four of our girls.
Laura Hillman is the owner of Paradise Alpacas and
she has been a pleasure to do business with.

Laura was looking for some new bloodlines that
don't exist in Texas, and she found our farm and
some very nice girls.  She has purchased Mariah,
Selene, Sophira and Robin.   Thanks a lot Laura
and best wishes on the growth of your herd and your
farm.

Beauty came through again with another stunning
baby for us.
Esperanza is 1/2 accoyo, full peruvian
and true black.  Just like her sister Mystique last
year, this girl is a definite keeper.

Heather and Megan delivered her at 1:06 in the
afternoon today.

She is really soft, and really black.  Her fiber is very
crimpy with little pin-curls all over her.

Malibu left the farm today when she was picked up
by Bob Lani.   She did great here on the farm, and
we would welcome her back at any time.

We can't wait to see the outcome of this pairing of
Malibu with Excyter next year.
  June 17 2007

It is freakin' hot here in Bowling Green.  The
temperatures are in the 90's and the animals are
staying in the barn near the fans.  Heather does a
great job of going out and spraying them down every
couple of hours.

This picture here is the first cria sired by Excyter.
She was born to Magical Farms this past week.

A female cria ....... right now, that means Excyter has
thrown female crias 100% of his offspring.  Maybe
we should put that in our marketing literature while
we can.  Let's hope it keeps up for our two females
in the fall of 2007.

Malibu came to our farm for a breeding to Excyter.
Malibu is from Lani's Alpacas and she is a very nice
white female.   She will be here on the farm for 60
days during the breeding and we will be taking great
care of her.

Robin went back to Dream Spinner Farm for her
breeding back to McGuiness.  He is a rose grey
herdsire with tons of ribbons.

This breeding was included in the purchase price
when we got Robin at the auction last October.

Another little bundle of joy came to the farm today.
Laila was born a little pre-mature (1 week or so).
She has an outstanding fleece and is so precious.
She is starting to gain weight and moving right along.

Sophira and Laila really love to run in the fields.

Well it is Mothers Day today, but we had to sheer the
alpacas so we just combine things into a single day.
We had lots of help on the farm including lots of
Mothers.  My mom, dad and Grandma were here.
Margayla and Jordan were here.  Rosie stopped in
to help also.   We had Craig and Julie as well.  Quite
a crew.  One of Megan's school mates (Jeff) stopped
in.

Check out some of the pictures.

Our first cria of the 2007 season arrived today.  And
she is a little sweetie pie.  Her name is Sophira and
she is out of Selene.

She weighed in at 20 lbs 8 oz and is doing great.
Selene is a wonderful mom and we expect this little
girl to grow quickly.

Lassiter went to the Buckeye show in Columbus this
weekend and he made us proud again.

He took a third place in a group of 11 yearling
medium fawn males.  Not bad work as he lost out to
a couple of big farms.

There were actually 2 groups of 11 males, so who
knows what would have happened if he was in the
other group ?  Anyway, we are proud.

My mother and my grandmother stopped by the
house on their way home from Florida to Michigan.

They found out in route that the heater at home has
to be replaced, so they are staying with us a few
days.
The alpacas like to have the extra visitors.

Well, the Triple Crown show was a big success for
our little farm.  We brought home 9 ribbons for the 5
animals that we took with us.

You can click
here to see pictures form the show.

Lassiter took home a Reserve Color Champion as
the highlight of the show.

OK, the Triple Crown Show is next week and boy are
we excited.  We are taking Mystique, Robin, Mariah,
Lassiter and Gunther.  Five animals is the most we
have ever taken to a show.  This should be fun !!!!

Hey - we are famous !!!    Well, OK, we just got our
name in the paper.  The Yarn Haven ran an add in
the Perrysburg Messenger and mentioned the
alpaca yarn they are selling for us.  OIt was pretty
exciting to see that and I wish Dale Ann and Bobbie
best of luck.
Feb 25,

We have entered into a deal with a local company
called Yarn Haven and they are going to sell our
yarn through their yarn store.  This is great news for
us and will hopefully get the Circle E Ranch name
out there a little bit with others in the community.

Mom did such a nice job on the yarn too....

CHECK OUT THIS YARN !!!!

My mom (Pat Elliott) has become quite the yarn
spinner.  She made this beautiful yarn down in
Florida where my parents and grandma are staying
for the winter.

Didn't she do a terrific job ??

Heather and I have decided to take animals to the
Western Ohio Triple Crown show again.  The show
comes up in March and is down a little west of
Dayton Ohio.  We are going to get our registration in
this weekend and start halter training for the cria.
  Jan 25,
2007
Well, the winter weather has arrived.  It is in the
single digits this week and for the next 5 to 7 days.
All of that water has frozen so the animals still have
to stay near the barn.  Oh well, spring is just around
the corner.
  Jan 1, 2007
Well, the weather has been pretty crappy here in
Bowling Green and we have had tons of rain instead
of snow.  The fields are very wet and the animals are
not happy that they have to stay up near the barn.
